Seventeen debates are in the can. We’re down to four men. There’s plenty on the line when polling stations open in South Carolina about 36 hours from now.
Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich are virtually tied in the Palmetto State. Mitt had a much better night than the last debate but still not as strong as the Speaker. Newt knows how to work that crowd! Can Mitt still pull it out and prevent a long-war scenario? Saturday is also probably a “must-second” for Rick Santorum. A third place finish would probably be the end of the road for him.
It’s going to be tight either way…
So you know the drill by now, Save Jerseyans.
Who left the stage a victor tonight?

Matt Rooney
Brian McGovern
Ed Sheppard
Matt DeLuca
Irwin M. Fletcher
James Beattie
Joshua Einstein
Michael Ward

Why wouldn’t you mention Ron Paul?
Because he has virtually no chance of doing better than 3rd place in SC and absolutely no chance of winning the nomination.
