We’re Used to Dirty Robocalls in New Jersey

Michigan voters are heading to the polls today, Save Jerseyans.

They’re also receiving a ton of last minute “robocalls” in their voicemails boxes. We all know what that’s like! They’re always annoying, but some Michigan robocalls have been controversial, too; allegedly, a group posing as the National Rifle Association (NRA) is running anti-Romney calls throughout the state without the NRA’s knowledge or permission. The Romney campaign is also slamming Senator Santorum and his Super PAC for reportedly sending robocalls to Democrat voters (Michigan has an “open” primary).

We’re used to silly season robocall hijinks down here in the Garden State.

One New Jersey political consultant was recently sentenced to one year of probation and fined $1,000 after he admitted faking robocalls in an assembly race.

Reportedly thousands of robocalls went out slamming GOP gubernatorial hopeful Chris Christie; the voice said they were paid for by NJ Democrats but, curiously, the call asked voters to support Independent Chris Daggett. Save Jersey and MoreMonmouthMusings.com took the story national…
