@GovChristie Rouses CPAC’s Midwestern Conference, Slams Obama Over Private Sector Gaffe (VIDEO)

The video isn’t great but the audio is fine, Save Jerseyans.

Plenty of other luminaries addressed this past Friday’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Chicago, but I’m told the Governor from New Jersey was a fan favorite. Go figure!

Take it away, Chris Christie:

You’ll note that the Governor had particularly harsh words for President Obama’s most recent mega-gaffe re: the private sector being “fine” and, to the extent we’re having issues, Obama’s decision to blame said issues on government layoffs.

Christie said Obama “was talking about why job growth hasn’t been as robust as it should be. He said one of the reasons is because state and local government hiring is going in the wrong direction. I swear to you, that’s what he said just a couple of hours ago. Now in New Jersey we have more government workers per square mile than any state in America, but since I’ve been governor we now have fewer people on the state payroll than at any time since Christie Whitman left office in January of 2001. That’s the right direction, Mr. President, not the wrong direction.”

Sometimes it’s like we share a brain, Save Jerseyans!

And in case you were wondering, the Garden State stat he’s referencing is 81 government employees per square mile. Yup. Eighty-one. That’s why living here is so damn expensive! Someone should tell the President.
