One particular line from last night’s truly excellent Romney acceptance speech really jumped out at me and stuck on my brain, Save Jerseyans:
President Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans and heal the planet. MY promise…is to help you and your family.”

Now, this species of extreme arrogance is a hallmark of the Obama Presidency. It’s also a central organizing principle of liberal ideology. Coincidence? Nope! These people (i.e. statists) really believe the path to salvation runs through government; promoting a secular messiah for high office is only a natural extension of their larger delusion. Republicans, however, see the world a little differently. That’s why this week’s RNC was a celebration of individual liberty and initiative, capped off by a parade of testimonials to Mitt Romney’s charitable nature of which he is far too modest to discuss himself.
So take comfort in my favorite biblical quote heading into next week’s DNC, Save Jerseyans: “Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.”
Keep tweeting, Mr. President. Your political retirement is nigh, and your arrogance is the prime catalyst.

An embarrassment to all Americans
Actually, I think this tweet was a response to Clint Eastwood talking to an empty chair as if Obama was sitting in it. Clint certainly cracked his jokes. I don't have a problem with Obama's response.
