I mention this only briefly, fasten your seatbelt,” Rivera said on his radio show. “I mentioned this only briefly to my wife … but I am and I’ve been in touch with some people in the Republican Party in New Jersey. I am truly contemplating running for Senate against Frank Lautenberg or Cory Booker.”

“I’m not going to drill this out, because obviously I’ve got commitments to Fox and to here at the radio program and I’m really having a great time,” Rivera added. “But I figure at my age, if I’m going to do it I’ve got to do it. 1. Can it get any worse for the NJ GOP??? When are the going to put an actual Republican who believes in what the word Republican means on the ballot for any State wide office???

  2. In 2003, while with the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army – the "Screaming Eagles" – Rivera almost got them all killed in Iraq.

Geraldo's photographer aimed the camera down at the sand, where Rivera drew a map of their location in Baghdad, and then proceeded to diagram the military plans of the division. Yep nobody would ever guess where you were on National TV.

In 2008 he said Obama was dead . . . what a putz.

  3. Career tanking???…Run for office for free exposure and much needed attention. They should've shot him when he was inserted with our troops and laid out the attack plan for live TV coverage and exposed our troops to a counter attack.

  4. I remember that, Joe Sinagra. I saw the segment the first time it aired and remember thinking, "What is he doing?!" His primary concern is his ratings/popularity.

  5. An excellent example of a Democrat. He had all of those mental patients released and moved on. Meantime these people are living on the street, eating from garbage cans and off their meds. Way to go Geraldo.

  6. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
