LD38 Tie Broken: Alonso 143, Driscoll 130
After last week’s convention vote resulting in a shocking 120 to 120 tie, Fernando Alonso finally prevailed over John Driscoll at tonight’s LD38 re-vote, winning 143-130. That means 33 more committee members showed up this time than for the original vote.
I like the enthusiasm!
Alonso is now the presumptive GOP nominee to face Sen. Robert Gordon (D-38) this November.
We wish him the best of luck forging forward.
