Menendez Runs from Another Journalist as Flight-Related Allegations Continue to Percolate
The lovely Celia Bigelow of Breitbart.com caught up with none other than Senator Bob Menendez at Penn Station last Thursday evening, Save Jerseyans. She asked a simple question when he disembarked from the train: “With the whole scandal and everything, why won’t you just come out and say where you were Easter Sunday 2012?”
But as the New Jersey press corps found out at January’s Chamber dinner in Washington, D.C., Hudson Bob is disinclined to answer tough questions:
The underlying story continues to develop as of this writing.
One the one hand, CNN cites a Dominican Republic police statement alleging that three young women were purportedly paid to lie about the Senator.
Meanwhile, across, town, WashPo recently reported that a grand jury had allegedly convened in Miami to investigate the Senator, something that usually doesn’t happen willy-nilly, folks, regardless of whether any legal action ever results from the deliberations/investigation.
The truth? Maybe one day we’ll find out. Apparently the man at the center of all of this doesn’t think we can handle it. Senator Menendez isn’t helping the cause of justice or his own public image by clamming up when reporters ask tough but fair questions.
