UPDATE: N.J. Governor Wants AG to Investigate Whether State Agency, Authorities Acted Appropriately
By Matt Rooney | The Save Jersey Blog
Governor Chris Christie is officially looking into last week’s controversial Carneys Point story, Save Jerseyans; you may recall the ensuing media frenzy when a man alleged Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP) agents and local authorities raided his home due to a posted Facebook photo of his son holding a gun.
The father’s account, disputed by local authorities, has apparently attracted the attention of New Jersey’s top elected official.
The Blaze obtained a letter dated March 22nd (last Friday) from Christie’s office addressed to the state attorney general:
The public reports of this matter raise troubling questions concerning the facts and circumstances surrounding the investigation, the manner in which the investigation was conducted, and the procedures followed by law enforcement and the Division of Child Protection and Permanency.”
