Here’s a Sunday scoop for ya:
Save Jersey has learned that popular Gov. Susana Martinez (R-NM), herself a 2016 prospect on many short lists, is en route to New Jersey to campaign with Chris Christie on Monday and Tuesday, Save Jerseyans, a schedule of joint appearances which includes a rally in heavily-Hispanic (and Democrat “blue”) Hudson County.
Winning the Hispanic vote has been a prime aim of the Christie campaign this cycle.
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, who is also headed to NJ to help the GOP GOTV effort, recently invested heavily in a field operation aimed at Garden State Latino voters.
We’ll see whether Martinez and Christie work what some will speculate is a 2016 dry-run into the bus tour schedule or if a new event is carved into the final 11th hour push…
