Brian D. Goldberg made it official today by filing to run for U.S. Senate, Save Jerseyans. Click here to read the letter.
“I’m thrilled to be able to officially announce that I’m seeking to challenge Senator Cory Booker this November,” said Goldberg in a statement. “Republicans need a positive, unwavering and effective messenger to give voice to common sense solutions in the U.S. Senate.”
Goldberg first make it public that he was exploring a run back in December; his campaign also used today’s announcement to say that Daniel Beckelman, Hudson County Young Republican Chairman, would serve as the Senate campaign’s treasurer.
“The U.S. Senate should be looking for ways to help the private sector expand its workforce,” Goldberg continued. “Empowering our most vulnerable to seize those new opportunities is how we’ll lift our economy out of stagnation. The answer won’t be found in more handouts as Senator Booker has been aggressively advocating.”
Other announced GOP candidates include former U.S. candidate and Reagan campaign staffer Jeffrey Bell, Monmouth businessman Rich Pezzullo, retired FBI agent Robert “Turk” Turkavage, and Ramapo Professor Murray Sabrin.
A potential game-changer? PolitickerNJ recently cited a source who claims Asm. Jack Ciattarelli (R-16) is seriously considering a U.S. Senate candidacy.
He’s our nominee!
