The Assembly Law & Public Safety Confiscation committee will convene at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday to pretend like it’s actually considering legislation to limit firearm magazine capacity to 10 rounds, Save Jerseyans, but you and I both know they’ve already decided.
It’s only a “hearing” in the loosest sense of the word; citizens present will be hearing plenty of BS!
We’ve given them the facts; sadly, this latest affront to your fundamental, constitutionally-guaranteed rights is 100% about base politics…
Click here to review A2006. Two other measures will also getting a public airing.
You can show up at 125 West State Street in Trenton this afternoon for the proceedings which are scheduled to take place in the State House Annex on 4th floor.
But do you want my advice?
Since passage of new magazine restrictions in the legislature is a fait accompli, the best use of #2A supporters’ time and energy is to contact Governor Christie’s office and ask him to veto any additional gun control measures coming out of the Democrat-controlled chambers.
The 2016 GOP primary is right around the corner and primary voters around the country are watching Christie closely.
Your call or email amplified times 10,000 serves an informed, friendly but firm reminder.
Click here to email him. Letters can be sent to “Office of the Governor, PO Box 001, Trenton, NJ 08625.” You can also call the front office at (609) 292-6000.
That’s generously assuming that Christie doesn’t angle for a Dem ticket. If he planned to run as a Republican, why would Cankles Mafia sink him now with Bridgegate, rather than in October 2016?
Anyone hear how the ‘hearing’ is going?
One of my friends in attendance posted on FB about an hour ago, “The Commies from Bloombergs group showed up.”
