The presumptive GOP nominee to replace Rush Holt in CD12 reported just over $100,000 in first quarter contributions to the FEC this morning, Save Jerseyans.
Alieta Eck, a physician from Central New Jersey, also reported $97,158.48 cash on hand from the original $100,105.00 raised from 266 contributors.
“While the total is an important milestone for us, I’m most proud of the number of small contributions from regular folks across all walks of life,” Dr. Eck said in a campaign statement. “Our message of real positive change in Washington is resonating not only here in New Jersey, but across the country as well.”
Who Eck will face in November remains a mystery; Democrats are in the middle of a particularly bruising 2-way primary between Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-15), Sen. Linda Greenstein (D-14), and Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula (D-17).
