Hillary’s infamous Benghazi testimony

Last week, Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) weighed in on Speaker John Boehner’s decision to convene a “select committee” to investigate the September 11, 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack, Save Jerseyans, following new revelations that are less-than-flattering for Hillary “Hilldawg” Clinton.

“More than a year ago, I was one of the first New Jersey Republicans to cosponsor H.Res. 36 to create a special committee to investigate the Islamic terrorist attacks in Benghazi because I believed then, as I do now, that Congress has the solemn responsibility to uncover the truth surrounding the events that led to the deaths of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens,” said Rep. Lance. “New documents uncovered this week provided further proof that the Obama Administration purposely misled the American public and Congress in the days directly following September 11, 2012.  In light of these new disclosures it is more clear than ever that a House Select Committee is needed to conduct a thorough and comprehensive investigation.”

We can expect New Jersey Democrats to endorse this move by the House GOP leadership, right? Unlike the Bridgegate scandal which, at worst, killed some justifiably-angry commuters’ gas mileage, the Benghazi travesty resulted in American deaths and reduced standing in the world. The U.S. Attorney is all-over Bridgegate; since it was perpetrated by the Administration that controls the U.S. Justice Department, there’s no one to police this situation unless Congress steps into the breach.

I’m expecting Chairman Wiz’s statement concurring with Congressman Lance any moment now…
