Gallup: Barely One-Third Support Obamacare

By Dan Cirucci | Dan Cirucci’s Blogspot

We’ve been saying this about Obamacare from the very beginning: The people don’t want it.

Let’s say it again and maybe some will understand: The. People. Don’t. Want. It.

Now, what we’ve been saying all along has once again been confirmed by a new Gallup poll:

In fact, Obamacare has hit a new low in approval, and a new high in disapproval, as the second enrollment period begins, according to Gallup.

Just 37 percent approve of the Affordable Care Act, one percentage point less than the previous low recorded in January.

A majority of Americans disapprove of Obamacare, at 56 percent — a new high, Gallup said.
Obamacare has NEVER enjoyed high public ratings.

People NEVER expressed an overwhelming desire for the federal government to take over one-sixth of the US economy and get involved in health care in this manner. Never!

But liberals Democrats (including Hillary Clinton) always felt they knew batter. It simply didn’t matter to them what the people did or didn’t want.

And, in ramming Obamacare through the Congress against huge public protests and without bipartisan support, these liberal Democrats showed disdain for ordinary citizens.

Consequently, in the most recent elections they got what they deserved: Resounding rejection.

Obamacare was and is wrong. It was and is a huge mistake. It was and is massively unpopular. The people know this. They’ve known it all along and they’re fed up. Now, they see the day-to-day results of this debacle: Higher rates, bureaucratic snafus, increasing taxes, more government regulation and a decrease in the quality of care. That’s why disapproval numbers keep climbing and approval numbers keep going down.

Obamacare is an albatross around the neck of Democrats, an affront to voters, a job-killer, an economic depressant and an obstacle to progress.

The people want no parts of it and neither should the Congress.

  1. Higher costs and higher deductibles have been on ongoing problem with health care costs for years. You can’t blame the ACA. And what should people without health insurance do, die? Where are all the “Christians” willing to help the sick? What is tour plan?

  2. Theodore Gonzalez. Yes, costs of health insurance have gone up over the years, but not at the rate they have under ACA, nor have so many lost their insurance. Nor were there the outrageous deductibles. Guess you forgot about those.poor folks that had “sub standard” insurance. I don’t know many 80 yr olds who need maternity care and birth control. Do you? Being a Christian or not has nothing to do with a government debacle that was rammed down our throats. Slow and sure (and reading) generally will win out. And you might want to research just how many Christian charities do to help the poor, sick, needy, before you mouth off. What do YOU do, btw?

  3. Jews and Christians help the poor and the sick by reaching into our own pockets and giving to charity. Communists, “progressives”, and other con-men say they help the poor and sick by taking over the government and using their power to grab money from others–which they say is needed for the poor and sick, but which is mostly used to enrich themselves and buy political support to grab even more money and power. 4. Yes, those Christian and Jewish philanthropists of the insurance companies who line their pockets with paying the CEO’s millions while denying coverage or forcing bankruptcy on those with limited coverage. How religious. It’s the insurance company profiteers and economic royalists that put profits over people thar led to the #ACA.

  5. Theodore–Nice try, but even “progressive” New York Times forced to report that those insurance companies are not “Christian and Jewish philanthropists” but part of Obama’s team who made even bigger profits by having government force people to pay double for their products.
