President Obama’s ABSURD Fiscal Year 2016 Budget proposal is out today, Save Jerseyans, and among other ridiculousness, it includes a SECOND death tax.
Rep. Leonard Lance (R, NJ-07) isn’t amused. “The President’s budget proposal does nothing to tackle our record 18 trillion dollar national debt that is impeding our economy’s ability to grow,” Lance opined in a late-afternoon release. “The budget doesn’t balance – ever, ignoring budget caps this President signed into law and making commitments for programs and expenditures with no plan on how to pay for them.”
If the President got his way (which he wont, with a GOP Congress), the death tax rate would jump from 40% to almost 60%.
Obama’s pitch comes only about a week after scraping his wildly-unpopular college savings account tax plan from the State of the Union.
“I want to work with the President to expand opportunity for all Americans, and that begins with more jobs, less taxation, boosting industries to compete abroad and harnessing American-made energy – all actions that will result in smaller national deficits,” Lance concluded. “The House of Representatives will, again, send the President a budget that balances. The President should work with Congress to put our Nation on a glide path back to fiscal health.”
