I said this before and I’ll say it again, Save Jerseyans, upon learning that federal prosecutors are issuing new subpoenas pertaining to the Christie-Fulop Jersey City relationship:
Why did Mayor Steven Fulop stand and applaud an alleged crime boss?
I’m referring, of course, to this year’s State of the State address when Jersey City’s top elected official and likely Democrat gubernatorial contender stood and participated in a standing ovation for Chris Christie; the crowd was responding to the Governor’s invitation for all N.J. politicians to “put down the sword of partisan politics” in exchange for his “hand in partnership.”
If Christie Inc. bullied Jersey City and/or broke the law, as alleged by the Bridgegate lynch mob AND Fulop himself, then why didn’t he sit on his hands? Like Newark’s Ras Baraka?
To be 100% fair, I made a similar observation where Hoboken’s Dawn Zimmer was concerned.
Mayor Fulop served his nation in the United States Marine Corps so we know he’s not a wimp.
So I’m left to assume, given his reaction in January, that his allegations are nothing but politics as usual?
Think about it.
How absurd. He applauded the remark.
