The entire Save Jersey family is praying for a good result today as Asm. Holly Schepisi (R-39) undergoes surgery at New York- Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center in New York City to address a March 2015 brain aneurysm.

“Although tumultuous, the past several months gave me time to reflect on what matters most in life, family, health and friends,” Schepisi shared in a morning pre-surgery post on Facebook.

An aneurysm is a blood-filled bulge occurring in the wall of a blood vessel. Even if it doesn’t burst (as was the case here, thankfully), these life-threatening natural phenomenon can cause severe stroke-like symptoms.

The Assemblywoman is nevertheless maintaining a positive attitude (and getting a few zingers in). During a recent interview in the days leading up to today’s operation, she expressed hope that “they don’t accidentally remove a portion of my brain and I come out being a Democrat.”

Us too, Holly! Get well soon…
