By Matt Rooney | The Save Jersey Blog

old bridgeElements of his county committee were up-in-arms Middlesex GOP Chairman Sam Thompson overrode the screening committee and subbed out Council President Debbie Walker for Councilman-at-large Brian Cahill.

Former Old Bridge Republican Party Chair Anita Greenberg (1,154) and Cahill (834) prevailed on Tuesday but Walker (865) also slipped by. Incumbent Councilman-at-Large James Anderson (748), who ran on the organization line with Cahill, failed to advance onto the general election ballot.

Here’s hoping everyone can put hurt feelings aside.
