The Sweeney-Christie alliance has yet again asserted itself, Save Jerseyans.
On Monday afternoon, news broke that Governor Christie plans to withdraw the name of his David Bauman – the twice-slighted Supreme Court hopeful – in favor of a Democrat attorney, Walter Timpone, ending a 6-year long stalemate over a vacancy on the state’s top court.
Who is Walter Timpone?
A lawyer with McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter in Morristown and a Commissioner for ELEC, Timpone worked in the U.S. Attorney’s office between Newark from 1984 to 1994 long before Chris Christie arrived in 2001. Timpone is nevertheless close to Christie world; for starters, Timpone donated $2,700 to the Governor’s aborted 2016 presidential campaign.

$2,700 well spent. As a Republican, I must have dropped $100 on the Christie Campaign. Maybe I could serve as bailiff.
