We have the first public poll of New Jersey’s presidential race in some time on the eve of our neighbor New York’s primary, Save Jerseyans, and the results are predictable.
On the GOP side, Rutgers Eagleton found Donald Trump leading Republican registered voters with 52% support leaning his way as compared to 24% for Ohio Governor John Kasich and 18% for Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
Hillary Clinton‘s lead over Bernie Sanders is much less impressive; her 51% to the Vermont Senator’s 42% amount to a mere 9-point lead.
