One day after the BCRO Chairman race officially became a two-man affair heading for a June collision course, Assemblyman Bob Auth (R-39) endorsed Bob Yudin in the race for Bergen GOP Chairman on Wednesday.
“Any attacks you may have heard about Bob are unfounded and he deserves to be reelected to another term,” Auth announced in an e-mail blast.
Auth is aligned with Senator Gerry Cardinale, a stalwart Yudin supporter who endorsed the incumbent along with state Senator Kevin O’Toole, but in backing Yudin, the Assemblyman finds himself in the opposite camp of his District 39 Chairman Michael Ryan who is running with Yudin challenger Paul DiGaetano as his parliamentarian.
DiGaetano’s newly-unveiled slate also features Bergen County Women’s Republican Club President Betty Krystyniak of Dumont for Secretary and Westwood Attorney Ed Johnson for Treasurer, both LD39 local influencers.
Yet to weigh in? Assemblywoman Holly Schepisi, Bob Auth’s LD39 running mate.
