While the GOP once appeared headed for a contentious July convention battle in Cleveland, Ohio, Save Jerseyans, that potentially dramatic process is no long numerically possible.
Republican Donald Trump reportedly reached the “magic” 1,237 delegate majority benchmark on Thursday morning according to a national survey of unbound Republican delegates.
Trump is scheduled for an afternoon rally in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Democrat Hillary Clinton is expected to clinch the Democrat nomination when New Jersey votes on June 7th. The final five states to cast ballots in the GOP primary, including New Jersey, all vote on the same day; the other states are California, New Mexico, Montana and South Dakota.
