POLL: Should New Jersey legalize recreational marijuana?

A new study from a liberal think tank posits New Jersey could reap $300 million per year from a 25% sales tax on legal recreational marijuana, Save Jerseyans. 

Opponents of legalization including Governor Chris Christie, who called it a ‘gateway drug’ back in 2014, believe the human toll of legalizing recreational marijuana would far exceed $300 million annually. Proponents counter that opiates, not pot, are the real gateway drug.
