Tuesday night’s DNC in Philly featured speakers including New Jersey’s Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D, NJ-12), Save Jerseyans, who delivered a predictably far-left address to the assembled delegates flanked by other female Democrat leaders.
“If you are willing to work hard in our country, you deserve a secure financial future and a strong foothold on the American dream: buying a home, sending children to college, and real retirement security,” Watson said. “We should be creating jobs by upgrading our roads, bridges, broadband, transit systems, energy grids and water infrastructures. And you can pay for this progress by closing loopholes and making big corporations pay their fair share.
“America is stronger when everyone has a chance to succeed,” she added.
What Watson didn’t add? For those of you who aren’t N.J. political watchers?
How her sons were were sentenced to up to seven years for armed robbery at the Mercer Mall Kids R Us back in 2001. In 2014, one of those sons received a position as a laborer with the Mercer County Parks Commission. I wonder how that opportunity came about… hmmm…
I think the appropriate DNC-esque expression is “check your privilege,” Congresswoman, before lecturing anyone on ‘fairness’ in America.
