Donald Trump loves to talk about his deep connections to the Garden State, Save Jerseyans, but how much does he know about the state in which he did plenty of business?

On Wednesday morning, the GOP nominee reportedly went after Hillary Clinton’s vice presidential running mate, Tim Kaine, for his governing record in New Jersey.

“Her running mate, Tim Kaine, who by the way did a terrible job in New Jersey ― first act he did in New Jersey was ask for a $4 billion tax increase and he was not very popular in New Jersey and he still isn’t,” Trump said.

I doubt most New Jerseyans are aware of Tim Kaine’s existence. He never lived here, much less governed here.

Tim Kaine (D) was the governor of Virginia and he’s currently an incumbent U.S. Senator representing the Old Dominion.

Tom Kean (R) was the governor of New Jersey from 1982 to 1990 at the same time as his Atlantic City Trump Taj Mahal was under construction.

Kean skipped the RNC in Cleveland and hasn’t endorsed to date.

Is it any wonder why?

Trump sure isn’t making it easy to hold my nose and do what I KNOW I’ll probably need to do in the voting both this November.
