WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressional hearings are supposed to be invaluable fact-finding tools for policy-makers.
Supposed to be.
When Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) was acting chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations committee, Save Jerseyans, he may’ve been fed questions by Hillary Clinton’s assistant shortly before a January 2013 Benghazi hearing.
That’s according to a new report from Fox News.
The revelation came from a newly-discovered e-mail chain; Clinton aide — Philippe Reines — e-mailed Chelsea Clinton early on January 23rd with the following message:
We wired it that Menendez would provide an opportunity to address two topics we needed to debunk (her actions/whereabouts on 9/11, and these email from Chris Stevens about moving locations.)”
Menendez ultimately kicked off the hearing with Reines’s suggested line of questioning.

New Jersey’s senior senator is still waiting for his corruption trial related to other alleged abuses of his political and foreign policy clout.
