MT. HOLLY, N.J. — Governor John Kasich‘s home of Ohio may be Election 2016’s ultimate presidential battleground, Save Jerseyans, but the former Republican primary contender continues to avoid the Clinton v. Trump campaign trail, supporting down-ballot candidates instead of Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Next up: according to reliable Save Jersey sources, he’ll be in Mt. Holly, New Jersey (Burlington County) this Friday, 9/9, for a fundraiser in support of incumbent Congressman Tom MacArthur (R, NJ-03).
The relatively modest-sized event with reportedly take place at the county GOP’s High Street headquarters.
While he never formally endorsed a candidate in the GOP primary after Chris Christie left the field, Rep. MacArthur did attend a Whitehouse, New Jersey fundraiser for Kasich back in April.
MacArthur is facing off with obscure Democrat challenger Frederick John LaVergne this November.
