“If we pass the $15 minimum wage, you’re pumping your own gas,” the Lt. Governor reportedly told an audience on Wednesday. “You go to $15 minimum wage, you’re not going to be able to hire that high school kid, or that senior citizen, or that person who is here trying to move here from out of the country.”

The likely 2017 gubernatorial candidate also expressed her belief that the minimum wage is not a living wage and, if adopted, will do more harm than good across the economic board. Guadagno famously broke with her boss, Governor Christie, and opposed the gas tax increase and related ballot question, both of which ultimately passed this fall despite her attempts to rally opposition.
