The man allegedly responsible for 5 deaths at Fort Lauderdale airport on Friday hails from our own Garden State, Save Jerseyans.
Esteban Santiago, age 26, was born in New Jersey but spent significant time in Penuela, Puerto Rico, before moving to Alaska where he resided at the time of the shooting. In an interview with NJ.com, the alleged shooter’s aunt in North Jersey’s Union City claims Santiago returned with psychological issues after a tour of duty in Iraq. Santiago was apprehended with a military ID on his person.
He is presently in official custody after the pre-weekend Florida massacre that has left the Sunshine State in a state of shock.
The shooter reportedly referenced ISIS in an exchange with authorities but, at this point in the investigation, he is believed to have acted alone….
