In case you’re just tuning in now: Joe Piscopo of SNL fame is actively preparing to run for governor this year, visiting Republican Christmas parties and huddling with county chairmen throughout the holiday season.
The famous Sinatra impersonator made his most telling pronouncement to date on New Year’s Day, however, posting a video on Twitter in which he promises followers that “2017 is our time.” And something tells me this isn’t a promo for the over 50 dating site….

Piscopo’s likely field of 2017 competitors for the GOP nomination include Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, Assemblyman and businessman Jack Ciattarelli, Assembly GOP Leader Jon Bramnick, Evesham Mayor Randy Brown, State Senator Mike Doherty, Nutley Township Commissioner Steven L. Rogers, and social media activist Joe Rullo.
