LD38 is going to be one of a few battlegrounds in this year’s general election, Save Jerseyans.
The district’s Democrat State Senator apparently agrees.
Politicker NJ reported on Tuesday that Bob Gordon is hiring Constantina Meis, a well-regarded N.J. Democrat operative, to serve as a member of his legislative staff.
Sources on the Republican side – backing top recruit Kelly Langschultz – are grinning ear-to-ear over the hire; they view it as an acknowledgment from Gordon that he’s in for a fight.
Senator Gordon survived reelection in 2013 by only 2,012 votes (or 3.8-points).
