REPORT: Resigning Roseland Councilmen Reverse Course, Bolt GOP Instead

Remember those Roseland councilmen who were planning to resign, under pressure, after their very politically incorrect text message exchange came to light?

No more.

According to The Progress, the same paper that initially broke the story swirling around Thomas Tsilionis and Peter Jacobs, the men changed their minds this week, informing party leaders that they were not only staying on council but also leaving the Republican Party.

You can read the full story here.

All six members of council and the mayor were copied on the text exchanges but not all of them participated.

Back in May 2016, by way of the example, Councilmen Tsilionis inquired of Jacobs (who is Jewish), “David how do I become Jewish? I want to be half Jewish (cheap) and half African American (endowed).”

“First the Rabbi needs to take a bigger cut,” Jacobs replied.

“I am legally changing my name to ShwartzNigga,” Tsilionis responded.
