RACISM: Booker says white guys shouldn’t be considered for top NY Fed Board post

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The New York Fed Board is poised to select a new president, but U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-Twitter) apparently doesn’t believe front runner John Williams, the current San Francisco Fed president, should get the post.

Who does Booker want?

Someone who isn’t white. Or male.

In his editorial published Monday morning, the junior New Jersey senator – who is infamous for his race-baiting tactics on the campaign trail – insisted that the Fed’s “next president shouldn’t be another white, male Wall Street insider” in his sub-headline, and eyebrow-raising premise which he expounded upon in his op-ed.

“The New York Fed has never had a woman or a person of color at its helm, and the Federal Reserve Bank only just last year added its first black regional bank president,” said Booker. “If we’re serious about creating an inclusive and sustainable economy, no one should be left on the sidelines. Study after study shows that organizations and companies with diverse leadership perform better and are more innovative than entities with homogeneous leadership.”

Booker failed to explain how his support of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy — and extremely nerdy and wealthy white guy — gels with this philosophy.

Booker also cited black unemployment as a reason for diversification, a claim made all the more curious by the prevalence of record-low black unemployment under the Trump Administration representing a dramatic improvement over that seen during the administration of former President Barack Obama.
