Just over a week after securing the Atlantic County line in his quest for the NJ-02 GOP nomination, candidate Hirsh Singh has locked up the endorsement of Atlantic’s Republican state senate.
“I am happy to join with the grassroots members of the Atlantic County Republican Party in endorsing Hirsh Singh for Congress. I’m honored to be a member of a party that is inclusive and demonstrating diversity by supporting the first Indian-American Congressional candidate from the Second District,” said Brown. “Washington could use a breath of fresh air, and Hirsh has the talent, background, and common sense approach to be a strong advocate for our local, middle class families and rise above the gridlock to get things done for South Jersey.”
Brown was actively recruited by the NRCC to run himself in NJ-02 before he declined the opportunity.
Singh also has the backing of the Burlington County Republican Committee, the Ocean County Republican Organization, the Camden County Republican Committee, and the Atlantic County Republican Committee. Singh’s counties represent somewhere between 30% and 40% of the primary electorate.
Five other Republicans – conservative activist Seth Grossman, ‘Bikers for Trump’ activist Mark McGovern, retired FBI agent Robert Turksavage, Somers Point engineer Brian Fitzherbert, and former Assemblyman Sam Fiocchi – are still running, too.
Attorney John Zarych and Somers Point Councilman Jim Toto dropped out at the March 24th Atlantic County convention.
