NJ-07: Lance cheers end of “deeply flawed” Iran Deal

Leonard Lance (R, NJ-07)

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07), incumbent co-chairman of the Republican Israel Caucus, isn’t always on President Trump’s side but he is supportive of the Iran Deal’s demise.

“The 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action negotiated by the Obama Administration was a deeply flawed agreement,” said Lance following Trump’s Tuesday press conference. “It was defeated in the House and would have been defeated in the Senate if it had been permitted to come up for a vote.  President Trump says he’s willing to consider a new nuclear deal – one that ensures all paths to a nuclear Iran are blocked.  I share this objective and call on the Administration and our European allies to come together to the table and craft a new, stronger Iranian nuclear agreement that will receive majority support on Capitol Hill.”
