N.J. Democrat House hopeful waxes over whether GOP is a “white nationalist party”

CLARK, N.J. — Leonard Lance and his Democrat challenger Tom Malinowski clashed on Monday morning at the Holiday Inn in Clark, and the latter let slip his controversial assessment of the GOP.

“The Republican Party right now, not in New Jersey so much, but in Washington, DC, is having a different debate. It’s having a debate about whether to be a white nationalist party,” said Malinowski:

“The sheep’s clothing has finally slipped off Tom Malinowski,” responded Lance for Congress campaign manager Jim Hilk after the debate. “Malinowski believes that those who disagree with him must be members of a ‘white nationalist party.’  These inaccurate and hateful comments show his true contempt for those 7th District constituents who believe in Republican ideals of lower taxes, less spending and more economic freedom.”

The latest polling points to a close race inside the margin of error.
