Murphy released another 852 N.J. inmates on Sunday

Crime is on the rise and Covid isn’t, but the Murphy Administration released another 852 inmates on Sunday as part of a purported pandemic mitigation strategy.

Why? That’s an excellent question, Save Jerseyans. The fall 2020 program was designed to let inmates earn credits for early release and reduce jailhouse crowding. Now the public health emergency is over, but the administration released 260 last month on top of nearly 900 more this month bringing the grand total over the past 1 1/2 years to around 6,200.

New Jersey’s related “public health emergency credits” law have directly contributed the spike in crime: three released prisoners were subsequently accused of committing murders and almost 1 in 10 prisoners were later rearrested.

It never had anything to do with Covid, kiddos.

This is “social justice” in action. It’s no fun. And the consequences are grave.
