I wish there wasn’t anything typical about the past week, Save Jerseyans, but you know the drill by now. Look at what happened on Friday alone…
- Trenton Mayor Tony Mack was convicted of “official extortion conspiracy, attempted extortion, accepting bribes and theft of honest services.”
- Former Manalapan Mayor Andrew Lucas was indicted indicted on “11 counts including wire fraud, loan application fraud, illegal monetary transaction, false statements to the IRS, aggravated identity theft, obstruction of a grand jury investigation and falsification of records in a federal investigation.”
- Fort Lee Mayor Mark Sokolich now alleges, in a Bergen Record interview, that the Christie Administration “courted him for over two years with gifts from the Port Authority to his town — like shuttle buses, pothole repair and emergency radios — as well as a personal tours of the 9/11 Memorial in a effort to win his endorsement.”
We can complain about how HBO or MTV portrays New Jersey until we’re blue in the face, Save Jerseyans.
