After Nancy Pelosi’s record breaking speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives protecting the Republican spending bill, NJ-11 House Candidate Jay Webber (R) called into question the Democrat leader’s priorities.
“Nancy Pelosi spent eight hours yesterday telling America she won’t vote for a bill that funds our military, veterans’ care, law enforcement, and social services until she first gets a promise of amnesty for undocumented immigrants,” said Webber in a statement. “Grandstanding for amnesty instead of providing for the needs of American citizens is wrong. Where do the Democrats in CD-11 stand – with Pelosi and for amnesty, or with the rest of the American people?”
New Jersey’s governor, Phil Murphy, is pushing to turn the Garden State into a so-called “Sanctuary State.”
Webber presently represents New Jersey’s 26th legislative district in the State Assembly.
He is currently the only announced candidate for the GOP primary to succeed Rodney Frelinghuysen.
