REPORT: N.J. AG will investigate the Sheridan deaths

One of the New Jersey political universe’s enduring mysteries is set to get a fresh look. On Tuesday morning, WNYC confirmed that the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office is investigating the 2014 deaths of John and Joyce Sheridan.

Initially, the politically-powerful couple’ grisly deaths were thought to be the product of a murder-suicide, but subsequent revelations, inconsistencies between the circumstances and the prosecutor’s conclusions, and an unrelenting campaign by the family to reopen the case helped keep the matter alive.

According to WNYC, “three people connected to the couple” reported hving been contacted by state investigators.
