John Kirby gaslight an entire state on Thursday, throwing cold water on mounting concerns over drones in New Jersey’s skies and even suggesting that most people were imagining the growing number of sightings. He also contradicted the government-owned Picatinny Arsenal.
“Upon review of available imagery, it appears many of the reports of sightings are actually manned aircraft that are being operated lawfully,” the White House national security council spokesman insisted at a presser.
Kirby’s remarks downplaying the state’s concerns sparked outrage and concern over the clear inconsistencies.
“I don’t know who’s picking these White House spokesmodels, but they are failing as epically as our Governor,” said Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia (R-24) of Sussex County.
She also noted that the Picatinny Arsenal Military Research Center (located in nearby Morris County, spread over 6,400 acres) released a statement earlier this week disclosing, per the Daily Record, that the facility “has recorded 11 confirmed sightings over the facility since Nov. 13 and seven reports that either could not be confirmed or turned out to be airplanes.”
