The answer is maybe, Save Jerseyans, and assuming there is a link then you won’t find this revelation comforting.
Over the weekend, news broke that Matthew Livelsberger, the Army soldier who allegedly blew up a Tesla Cybertruck outside of the Trump Las Vegas hotel, apparently sent an email to a popular podcaster mere hours before the explosion which claimed his life.
In the email communication shared via X, the authenticity of which remains hotly-contested Livelsberger claimed that the drones spotted over New Jersey in recent weeks by thousands of witnesses represented, in fact, the “operational use of gravitic propulsion systems powered aircraft by most recently China in the east coast, but throughout history, the US.” Gravitic propulsion is an advanced technology which, if successfully paired with drone technology by the world’s two most powerful countries, could easily ignite a dangerous new phase in the emerging cold war between the United States and China.
The bombshell email was initially received by Sam Shoemate, reportedly an intelligence analyst, who subsequently discussed the email on The Shawn Ryan Show podcast.
Livelsberger’s email quickly incited robust discussion on X and beyond:

Adding that “China has been launching them from the Atlantic from submarines for years, but this activity recently has picked up,” Livelsberger also added a claim that “[a]s of now, it is just a show of force and they are using it similar to how they used the balloon,” an apparent reference to the 2023 Chinese spy balloon incident.
“I don’t think people are doubting the emails exist. I think they’re doubting whether they were sent by Matt or someone impersonating him. For what it’s worth, here’s the chain though,” Shoemate explained while sharing screenshots on X (see above).
Social media and some users are actively debating whether the email was truly authored by Livelsberger and, naturally, whether the author’s drone commentary is accurate or the ramblings of a service member who tragically grappled with PTSD.
Meanwhile, sightings of large drones continue across the Garden State. The FAA announced on December 30th that it would expand its existing ban on drone flights over numerous New Jersey communities introduced earlier in the month to include sections of Atlantic Highlands, Belford, Fort Hancock (Middletown), Highlands, Linden, Paulsboro, Port Reading (Woodbridge), South Kearny, and Westville.
