Trump Administration: Most N.J. drones were from the FAA, for “research”

The Trump Administration made good on another campaign promise this week, though the answer isn’t making most New Jerseyans feel any better.

“After research and study, the drones that were flying over New Jersey in large numbers were authorized to be flown by the FAA for research and various other reasons,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced at Tuesday’s White House House briefing.

“This was not the enemy,” Leavitt added.

President Trump promised during the 2024 campaign and, immediately after taking office, to reveal the source of the sightings of the Garden State which unnerved residents and vexxed officials over the holiday deason.

Unsurprisingly, most resident weren’t pleased with the prior administration’s lack of transparency.

“There is no reason for the federal government to withhold this information from the public,” said State Senator Jon Bramnick (R-21), one of the 2025 GOP gubernatorial candidates. “The lack of communication from the Biden administration led to very real concern from New Jersey residents. Government transparency is paramount and I appreciate the Trump administration providing this information to the public.”
