Nadine Menendez, the wife of former U.S. Senator Bob Menendez, has been found guilty in her federal bribery trial.
Menendez’s trial was separated from that of her infamous husband as she underwent cancer treatment. It took the jury only approximately eight hours (!) beginning last Friday to convict her on charges related to ex-Senator Menendez’s bribery scheme which included payments of gold bars and even a luxury car in exchange for favors.
Sentencing is set for June.
Bob Menendez is set to report to prison in June to serve out his own 11-year sentence.
