Kranjac calls on Spadea to drop, says he’ll seek a “second Trump endorsement”

Former Englewood Cliffs Mayor Mario Kranjac isn’t giving up on earning a Trump endorsement in this year’s gubernatorial primary… despite the fact that President Trump has already backed on candidate.

“The President has often been willing to endorse more than one viable candidate in a race,” Kranjac explained. “Our movement is clearly the only other credible option.”

Krajnac is undoubtedly referring to the Arizona gubernatorial race where, just last month, President Trump endorsed two Republican candidates for the same office: Karrin Taylor Robson and Andy Biggs.

“No one fought harder than President Trump to break into politics and become the most consequential American since Lincoln,” the candidate added. “I respect that and I respect him. As the first Republican mayor of Englewood Cliffs in 42 years, I had to fight off censures, lawsuits and sanctions by weaponized courts — just like Trump.”

Kranjac also served up harsh criticism for primary rival Bill Spadea and his supporters who reacted to Donald Trump’s official endorsement of Jack Ciattarelli on social media by deriding the president.

“The Spadea campaign is over,” Kranjac continued. “He should withdraw from the race, apologize to the President, and return the money he took from taxpayers and senior citizens who thought he was genuinely pro-Trump.”

The attorney and former mayor joined the race late and hasn’t raised much money, and his polling position remains in the low single digits. He’s nevertheless attracted a small but vocal following online for having articulated America First principles during the course of his short campaign.
