Jack Ciattarelli is starting the General Election cycle down three points to Democrat Mikie Sherrill. Ciattarelli fell short in 2021 by three points.
Ciattarelli (42%) and Sherrill (45%) is within the margin of error, but the National Research poll (commissioned by the Republican campaign) also discovered that only 33% believe New Jersey is on the right track as compared to 54% who do not.
Ciattarelli is also ahead of Sherrill 72%-14% among the 54% above who believe the state is headed in the wrong direction.
“Mikie Sherrill tripling her net worth in Congress via millions of dollars in stock trades – for which she broke federal law and was fined – is a major issue with key groups that will have a big say in deciding the election,” opined Ciattarelli General Consultant Chris Russell. “Her disastrous ‘Breakfast Club’ interview is already being featured on a Ciattarelli campaign website and web ads detailing news reports on the issue.”
