The Trump Administration has made it clear that the former White House counsel should remain at her post.
“.@USAttyHabba has brought steady leadership and sound judgment as Interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey,” Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche posted on X. “She has the full confidence of @POTUS and DOJ. District judges should use their authority to keep her in place.”
Habba could face a math problem. 15 of 17 current New Jersey District Court judges were nominated by Democrat presidents, and the state’s Democrat U.S. senators have (unsurprisingly) vocally opposed Habba.
