President Trump won 1 in 5 black men in 2025 and 46% of Hispanic voters, a historic showing for Republicans in the modern era of American national politics. Will we see a continuation of the trend this year in New Jersey?
It’s hyper-anecdotal. Sure. But Bishop Timothy L. Pernell Jr. – a pastor in Bloomfield which is situated in deep “blue” Essex County, New Jersey – warned his social media followers this week that he’s “running into a lot of blacks and Latinos who say they are voting for Jack [Ciattarelli].”
“I think we have a problem,” a somber Pernell opined in his video.
That’s Democrat nightmare fuel, folks!
Ciattarelli has devoted significant time to campaigning in traditionally blue Garden State counties including Hudson and Essex counties where President Trump saw his margins shrink last fall amid a surge of support from non-white voters.
