Jack Ciattarelli renewed his pledge to end sanctuary statehood in New Jersey during a Monday Fox News appearance with Laura Ingraham.
The Republican nominee said it would be the focus of his first executive order should he win the governorship on November 4th. New Jersey has been a sanctuary jurisdiction since Governor Murphy’s first term in office, and the Department of Justice recently named and shamed four N.J. cities – Newark, Jersey City, Hoboken and Paterson – for defying federal immigration authorities. It’s believed that the Garden State is presently hosting as many as 900,000 illegal aliens.
Ciattarelli also reiterated his belief that Election 2025 is winnable.
“We came awfully close last time,” the candidate told Ingraham. “But without the pandemic, without an incumbent, and with a much more favorable political landscape — we’re going to deliver a win in 36 days.”
A brand new Save Jersey poll found Ciattarell and Democrat Mikie Sherrill in a statistical dead heat.
