Jack Ciattarelli didn’t mince words in reaction to Mikie Sherrill’s shockingly violent attack on the late Charlie Kirk.
“Mikie Sherrill’s hypocrisy knows no bounds. After voting “YES” on a resolution honoring Charlie Kirk’s life and condemning his violent death, Mikie reversed course and sided with the extremists in her own party by putting out a statement attacking a fellow American, a son, a husband, and a father who was assassinated for speaking his mind and encouraging others to do the same,” Ciattarelli posted on X on Saturday morning.
“It’s inexcusable and disqualifying,” the Republican gubernatorial nominee added.
On Friday, Sherrill made national news by launching an unhinged attack on Kirk who was assassinated on September 10th.
“Charlie Kirk was advocating for a Christian nationalist government and to roll back the rights of women and Black people — this flies in the face of every value I hold dear and that I fight for,” Sherrill said in a statement released by her House office. “But the Constitution protects free speech, even for those I vehemently oppose.”
Sherrill failed to cite a single example of any racism exhibited by Kirk during his laudable and impactful public career.
Ciattarelli and Sherrill are set to meet for one of two General Election gubernatorial debates this Sunday, September 21st at Rider University.
